Hirsch Vineyards

West Sonoma Coast

David Hirsch began planting Hirsch Vineyards in 1980, making it one of the oldest vineyards on the Sonoma Coast. Located less than three miles from the Pacific Ocean in Fort Ross – Seaview, Hirsch is defined by its proximity to the coast and the San Andreas Fault. The former creates our cool maritime climate, and the latter imparts a fearsome complexity to our soils and topography. Out of this mélange Hirsch produces a number estate Pinot Noirs, one estate Chardonnay and one estate Rosé. The vineyard is farmed biodynamically, and the wines are made on site, a rarity on the wild West Sonoma Coast. Hirsch is cared for by David and his daughter Jasmine Hirsch, who since 2019 is also our winemaker.
